Kasol, a small Himalayan hamlet of Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh is known for its natural beauty and ambiance of the place. From this place, you will start your trekking. It is also known as Mini Israel or Mini Israel in Himalaya due to the majority of Israeli tourists. It is one of the topmost favorite tourist spots to them. Now, these days this place is also becoming favorite among Indian youngsters due to many activities like trekking, camping, music fest & photography.

This place is the perfect place in all terms of tourist facilities where you can hang out with your friends during trekking and camping. The route of trekking is full of natural wonders. During the trekking, you will experience golden sunrise in the morning and sky full of stars in the night which looks like a big black canvass filled with glowing silver dots.

How to Reach

By Air- Kullu Airport is the main airport where you can switch to Kullu, Manali and other nearby areas. This airport is at Bhuntar where Kasol is about 31 km away from. It will hardly take 1 hour to reach Kasol.

By Train-  As Kasol doesn’t have its own railway station the nearest station is Joginder Nagar. The distance is 144 km between Joginder Nagar and Kasol. You can take public transport or hire a private cab to reach at Kasol from there.

By Road- Through various ways, you can reach at Kasol by road. Either Delhi or from Chandigarh is the best option available. After reaching one of these, you can take public transport or hire a private taxi cab.

Day 1-Arrival at Kasol

After reaching at Kasol check-in at the campsite of your choice near the river Parvati, relax for a while after the night-long journey. After getting fresh and ready the whole day is yours to explore the beauty of the place. There are different types of cafes and restaurants that serve Indian as well as international cuisines. If you want to taste Israeli food in India then this is the best place. After spending the whole day at this one of the beautiful places of Parvati Valley head back to the campsite to enjoy Bonfire and dinner. Take night long rest for the next day trekking.

Day 2- Trekking to Kheerganga via Barshaini

Wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise and get ready for the trekking by equipped your self with necessary trekking gears. This trek is a 12 km long trek. During the trek visit, Manikaran a religious spot were two religions meet in one place. Manikaran is considered a sacred place for Hinduism and Sikhism followers. Where Shri Gurunanak Ji Guru Dwara, Shri Shiv Ji Temple and Shri Ramchandra Ji Temple are the main spot. Other spots during the trek are Rudranag Waterfall which is famous for its serpent shape, Apple Orchards.

After visiting all these places finally you will reach Kheerganga Campsite. From there explore various forest trails, wildflowers, Oaks and pinewood trees. Enjoy Bonfire and camping.

Day 3- Trek Back to Kasol

Start your day with sparkling golden sun rays, relax for a while. Enjoy the dip at natural hot spring, it will relax your body and remove the body stress of trekking. You will feel soulfully relax after this natural bath.

After breakfast head back to Kasol by trekking during the route explore Barshaini if time allows. Till evening reach Kasol to end this awesome journey. Board your bus for an ongoing journey with your memorable moments.



Best Time To Go

Spring season(April- June)  and Post Monsoon Season(September – November) is the best time to go however during other months you can also visit the place. However, before planning the trip other than the best time it is advisable to consult with tour guide or any authority to avoid any kind of hazard.
